We’re an upscale barn venue in the countryside of Southwest Wisconsin. We offer a rustic-chic space for weddings, reunions, celebrations, and bespoke events. On our property, you’ll find a variety of flexible, indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate your unique event.
We have two barns, modern floors, glamorous bathrooms, on-sight lodging, and so many other comforts. Our venue is a canvas filled with wide open spaces, waiting for you to make it yours. We offer a variety of optional tables, seating, handmade furniture, antique decorations, event equipment, and ideas.

Located in the lower half a fully-modern barn with a full-commercial kitchen, a storage room, open event space, and cement floors. The room looks out onto a large patio and rock garden, and is adjacent to our recreation room.

Indoor Game/Recreation Room (Lower Lodge)
Intimate social area where small groups play table games, sip cocktails, or relax by the fireplace. It can also be used for a wedding-day dressing or storage room.
There is a pool table, foosball table, card table, collapsable ping-pong table, TV & video game console, and additional outdoor games like cornhole/bean bags.

From elopements, to LGBTQ weddings, to religious ceremonies, to one-of-a-kind celebrations—we are happy to have you!
We have EIGHT permanent bathrooms. They’re amazing and clean.
Decorations & Furniture
We have tables, chairs, functional furniture, decorations, props, and more available. Use of our inventory is 100% optional and of no additional cost.
Electricity, Power, & Sound
We have lots of power, plenty of outlets, dedicated circuits for caters, and a sound system with microphones.
There is lots of natural light and various LED and track lighting. Some wedding couples choose to add additional decorative lighting.
RVs, Campers, & Tent Camping
We welcome tents, campers, & up to five RVs for extra guest capacity.
We have an RV electrical hook-up, but do not have water or allow waste removal. Bathrooms in our nearby pavilion will be open to you at all times.
$25 per RV, per day.
Plenty of gravel parking for up to 300 vehicles.
Catering, Alcohol, & Vendors
We do not offer in-house catering or supply alcohol for events—you are responsible for securing and supplying your own. We have no restrictions on catering, alcohol suppliers, or other vendors. You are free to hire any vendor that you desire.
Our Banquet and Food Service Room is perfect for warming and plating—not for cooking entire reception meals.
Set-Up & Take-Down
For weekend packages, set-up can take place as early as 7 a.m. on Friday. Take-down must be finished with take down by 3 p.m. on Sunday. Weekday rentals can work with us to ensure proper setup time.
For a $500 fee, Monarch Valley staff can set up and take down tables, chairs, and outdoor seating, with direction from you; and also clean the venue once your party leaves.
Certain times of the year that might better suit your goals—from a sunny summer, a cool fall wedding, to a cozy winter. Generally: January-March is snowy with good snow coverage; April-May is sunny, sometimes rainy & cool; June-September is green and floral; October-November is full on Fall.
In Case of Inclement Weather
We have plenty of indoor space to accommodate 300+ people indoors, flat areas for tents, additional rooms for guest overflow, lots of umbrellas, and plenty of fireplaces to stay warm by.
With any of our wedding packages, there is extra flexibility to postpone outdoor ceremonies until a brief shower clears—or to move ceremonies inside.
Nearby Cities & Hotels
We’re perfect for a meet-in-the-middle wedding for Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Rochester, northern Iowa, & northwest Illinois areas.
More locally, we’re central to La Crosse, Eau Claire, Osseo, Winona, & Black River—all with ample hotels.
Even though our lodge sleeps 20+ guests and allows RVs and camping, some couples choose to hire nearby shuttling or bus services to transport guests to and from hotels.
No Double Bookings
We do not double book guests. When you’re here, you have it all to yourselves.
We also operate a whitetail hunting business – Monarch Valley Whitetails – on the same property. Hunter bookings never overlap with wedding, event, or lodge bookings. We occasionally offer hunting discounts to our wedding couples!
